Integra Puts HDBaseT Support Into Processor and Receiver

Sometimes you need to get AV from point A to point B—and B isn’t exactly close by. HDBaseT technology is a nice option for those longer runs, since it can use cabling that’s less expensive and easier to install. That said, not every component is compatible with HDBaseT. That’s not something that you have to worry about with Integra.


The company just introduced a pair of HDBaseT-compatible AV components. Both the DHC-60.5 preamp processor and the DTR-60.5 receiver include HDBaseT support, as well as THX certification.

Each one would work nicely in a whole-house setup, using Cat 5e or Cat6. Having HDBaseT support means that these components can send uncompressed signals, including 3D and Ultra HD (4K), up to 328 feet. Of course, these new products will also work in a one-room install.

The DHC-60.5 is a 7.2-channel network AV preamp processor, with THX Ultra2 Plus certification. Besides the 4K pass-through, this model also features a Marvel QDEO processor, nine HDMI inputs, 7.2 multichannel balanced XLR pre-outs, and built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

The DTS-60.5 can support a 9.2 system, boasting 135 watts for each channel. It also has nine HDMI inputs, with 11.2 multichannel pre-outs to support full DTS Neo:X. Other features include WRAT (Wide Range Amplifier Technology) and discrete Three-Stage Inverted Darlington Circuitry, as well as support for Dolby Pro-Logic IIz, Audyssey DSX, and Audyssey MultEQ XT32 room set-up processing.

It’s also important to note that these new components have three 192kHz/24-bit TI Burr-Brown DACs on each, as well as options to stream Spotify, Pandora, Slacker, Rhapsody, SIRIUS XM Internet Radio, AUPEO!, and Last.fm. (Just remember that subscriptions and/or fees may apply.) Each one also works with Integra’s Remote app for iOS and Android devices.

Integra will start selling the DHC-60.5 AV preamp processor and the DTR-60.5 AV receiver in August and has priced them at $2,000 and $2,300, respectively.
